Robert Ferguson is a creative and energetic video editor, sound designer, music composer, musician, and an FAA Part 107 certified Drone Pilot who wants to work with you on your productions and bring your ideas to life! His talents can help you and your business make commercials for TV, radio and social media broadcasts, produce the Podcast you have always wanted to create, record the music you have always wanted to share, or create a media campaign for the event you are planning. The Experience
Robert Ferguson is an Emmy winning Sound Designer. He spent 22 years of his career as a Senior Sound Designer for Turner Broadcasting and Turner Studios (now WarnerMedia) in Atlanta, GA. If you have ever watched Cartoon Network, TBS, TNT, NBAtv, (TCM) Turner Classic Movies, eLeague, Adult Swim, SportsSouth, TurnerSouth, or CNN, then you have heard his work. Prior to Turner, he was in Nashville, TN at Emerald Studios on Music Row where he recorded and mixed a weekly Country Music countdown show, managed live country artist satellite radio interviews, and broadcasts for CMA Week and Fan Week.
The Education
Robert Ferguson began his musical career at the age of 12 as he learned songs listening to the radio and records. His love for music grew from there with piano lessons, and playing and singing in high school bands. His first two years of college were at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC where he studied piano music performance and played in local club bands. His last two years were at the University of North Carolina - Asheville where he received a degree in audio engineering and music. Playing in bands in Asheville, NC every weekend gave him great live performance experience.
Next came an internship at a private exclusive studio in New Jersey. He spent the next 4 years working for New York / New Jersey music and production studios. Working with Jason Miles (world renowned keyboard sound artist), Marcus Miller (award winning producer and multi-instrumentalist), Hirschberg Productions (award winning production company), and many more gave him experience in some of the top recording studios in the world. He also worked with popular music artists like Luther Vandross, Miles Davis, David Sanborn, Whitney Houston, Roberta Flack, the Jamaica Boys, as well as corporate commercials for multiple companies like American Express and Coca Cola.
